Tattered Cover is Celebrating!!!
Kent Thompson, artistic director of the Denver Center Theatre Company, and members of the acting company will present a reading from To Kill a Mockingbird (HarperCollins), in honor of the 50th anniversary of the publication of Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. This heart-wrenching, coming-of-age tale set in a South poisoned by virulent prejudice, has been translated into more than forty languages, sold more than thirty million copies worldwide, served as the basis of an enormously popular motion picture, and was voted one of the best novels of the twentieth century by librarians across the country. Our anniversary celebration is part of a nationwide series of events hosted by booksellers and libraries honoring this timeless classic.
