Remember, It's Buy Local Week Here in Colorado!!!

What's Buy Local Week? Every year, Americans do most of their holiday gift shopping the week after Thanksgiving, starting Black Friday. In 2011, Coloradans spent 12.6 billion dollars during the holidays, which represents a huge chunk of annual revenue for retailers. Since this week has such a big impact on your neighborhood retailers, we've proclaimed this week to be Buy Local Week.

A shift of just 10% of your holiday purchases from chain stores to local retailers could translate to a $3 Billion boost to Colorado's economy over these two months.

If you don't live in Colorado, look up you own state's Buy Local program and help keep your local, independent retailers and craftspeople working and your community vibrant.
