Tattered Cover Summer Seminar: Psychoanalytic Ideas for Everyday Living: The Inevitability of Loss and Opportunity for Moving On


This class is designed for anyone interested in learning very basic psychoanalytic concepts and applying the ideas to our everyday life. Together, we will read, discuss, and understand how unconscious processes and conflicts impact current behaviors and beliefs. No advance preparation is necessary! To enhance our understanding of these fascinating ideas we will be sharing an interdisciplinary approach to learning including listening to music and poetry. Ruth Neubauer, LCSW is a licensed psychotherapist in Denver and practiced in the Washington, DC, area for over 25 years. She remains on the faculty of the Washington School of Psychiatry in Washington, DC, and continues to teach at Denver University, University College, OLLI for the last three years. She is also a published poet/writer, photographer, and musician.
