Denverites, Save The Date!!! The Big Read Is Coming!!!

The Kick-off for The Big Read will be on January 24, 2014 at the McNichols Building at 144 W. Colfax Ave. (between Alcoma and Bannock in Civic Center Park) from 5:30pm-7:30pm

Join Lighthouse Writers Workshop for a celebration of their community-wide reading program, running January through April. We're reading Housekeeping by Marilynne Robinson. Free event!

At the Kick-Off, guests will:
• get copies of the book,
• enjoy a dramatic reading of excerpts from the book by Stories on Stage,
• listen to music by Swallow Hill musicians,
• sign up for book discussions and writing workshops,
• view the art in the McNichols building.

Light refreshments provided. Featured speakers will include community leaders, including Jamie Van Leeuwen (Governor Hickenlooper's Deputy Chief of Staff).
